RESPITE CARE

It is essential that Carers look after themselves to safeguard their health and to prevent from burnout due to restless work looking after your loved ones. We can provide respite care to your family members of all age group at home, while you take some time off from work or if you wish to go for a holiday.

Whether it is just for a few hours per week on a regular basis or for a week at a time, we can provide 24 hour care in the home and can manage any kind of nursing care that is required ranging from peg feed, wound care, continence care stoma care Carewell Health is happy to provide all aspects of nursing & respite care.

Some of our Respite services include:
o Initial visit to assess client's capabilities, (likes and dislikes, needs & preferences).
o Disability or Family Support works in conjunction with programmes such as Support & Choice and Family Choice.
o These programmes include working with children & adults with disabilities or special needs and their families.
o Respite: Social Activities, crossword puzzles, reading, (newspaper's, and books) board games. I.e. scrabble, walking, light gardening.
o Community Integration & Access eg: short courses - computing, cooking, basic financial management etc. through community or neighbourhood houses..

AGED CARE AT HOME:

At Carewell health, we recognize that ‘your home is your castle’. Ageing doesn’t necessarily mean loss of independence within your living environment and we are here to achieve this.

As people age, their needs may change but their safety and peace of mind is very vital. Living in the comfort of your own home and maintaining independence and social connections is important, while enjoying our home care services.

Another important factor to consider is when family members are not around, you just need a little assistance in getting your day started or regular ongoing assistance, we can help you with your everyday life. It may be just mowing the lawn or walking the dog or feeding the cat. We are here to help with your everyday life.
